AutogenAI isn’t only for generating first drafts. You can use it as a reviewer to strengthen content your team has already written, whether your team drafted it in AutogenAI, in Word, or elsewhere.
You can review content in three ways:
- The assistant with commenting: review content in your project and leave feedback.
- Word integration: review directly in your Word document.
- Pasted-in content: bring in content built elsewhere and use the assistant to edit it.
Best for: proposal managers, reviewers, and writers polishing existing content.

Before you start
- Have your draft content ready, along with the question, requirements, and scoring criteria.
- Decide what you want from the review (for example, tighter wording, stronger evidence, better compliance, or a consistent tone).
Option 1: Review with the assistant and commenting
Best for reviewing content that already lives in your project.
- Open your project from the project section and go to the content you want to review.
- Launch the assistant.
- Ask for a review, for example: “Review this answer against the evaluation criteria and suggest improvements.”
- Read the feedback and use comments to flag the sections that need changes.
- Ask the assistant to revise those sections, or edit them yourself.
- Resolve comments as you or the assistant make changes.
Tip: Be specific about your review focus. “Check for unsupported claims” gets better results than “make this better.”
Option 2: Review with the Word integration
Best for content that’s already in a Word document.
- Open your document in Word.
- Open the AutogenAI pane from the ribbon and sign in.
- Select the relevant project.
- Highlight the text you want to review.
- Ask AutogenAI to review or improve it, for example: “Tighten this to 200 words and keep the tone confident.”
- Accept the suggested changes, or edit by hand.
- Repeat section by section.
Tip: Review a section at a time so you stay in control of every change.
Option 3: Paste in content built elsewhere
Best for content written outside AutogenAI, such as in another tool or a colleague’s document.
- Open your project and launch the assistant.
- Paste in the content you want reviewed.
- Add the question, word count, and scoring criteria for context.
- Tell the assistant what to do, for example:
- “Edit for clarity and active voice.”
- “Check this against the requirements and flag gaps.”
- “Rewrite to match our style guide.”
- Review the output, then copy the final version back into your document.
Tip: Add your style guide to the project so pasted-in content matches your organization’s voice.
Example review prompts
- “Review this answer against the scoring criteria and list the gaps.”
- “Make this more concise without losing key evidence.”
- “Strengthen this with specific outcomes and figures.”
- “Flag any claims that need supporting evidence.”
- “Check the tone is consistent with the rest of the proposal.”
Best practices
- Give the assistant your criteria. Reviews are only as good as the standard you measure them against.
- Review in small sections for more precise feedback.
- Keep a human in the loop. Verify facts, figures, and compliance before submitting.
- Combine approaches. Draft in Word, then paste into the assistant for a final polish.
