AutogenAI is organized around five parts: Home, My workspace, the editor, Projects, and the Knowledge Hub. This article introduces what each one is and what it's for. Use it as a map — each part also has its own dedicated article with full detail.
Home
Home is where you land when you log in — What are we working on today? It's the starting point for everything else.
From here:
- New document opens the editor on a private document in your workspace.
- Create new project launches the project setup wizard, where most proposals begin.
- Assigned tasks lists the sections and documents you own, with status, due date and page limit at a glance.
- Recently viewed lets you pick up where you left off.
- Ask anything is the assistant, for a quick question without opening a document.
The navigation bar on the left is how you reach everything else: Search, Home, My workspace, Projects, and the Knowledge Hub.
My workspace
My workspace is your private area — separate from any project, and visible only to you. It's where you keep work that isn't tied to a specific proposal: research, one-off documents, drafts you're not ready to share.
It holds the documents, Q&A workbooks, and other inputs you create outside of a project. Nothing here syncs to a project library automatically — it stays private until you decide otherwise.
The editor
The editor is the writing surface itself — the screen you land in whether you opened a private workspace document or a section inside a project.
Text sits on the left; the right-hand panel carries the tools:
- Ask AI and the writing transformations (Expand, Summarize, Add Case Study, Add Statistics, Tone of voice) for working on a passage.
- Document settings, including an A4 page view so you can see where content falls on the page.
- Document history, to roll back to an earlier version if an edit goes wrong.
Inside a project section specifically, that right-hand panel is the storyboard — the writer's assignment, requirements, contextual notes, evaluation criteria and win themes pulled from the RFP, instead of a general-purpose panel.
Projects
A project is where a single proposal lives, start to finish. Creating one takes a short setup wizard — project name, the RFP, a submission deadline, and a project library — and everything from there happens inside the project home.
The project home's left sidebar organizes the proposal into three phases, plus your project library and project admin:
- Pre-proposal (optional). Qualify the opportunity and build evidence — competitor analysis, discriminator analysis, teaming overview, and similar activities — before you commit.
- Prepare & plan. The RFP is analyzed automatically into a master response structure, along with supporting analysis documents (RFP summary, scoring methodology, compliance checklist, and more) and your win themes.
- Write. Approve the response structure, then generate and refine a first draft for each section, with the storyboard holding the brief. Export to Word or a template, or to Adobe InDesign for design-led submissions.
Your project library belongs to that project only — it doesn't sync back to a central library or SharePoint, and access is controlled at the project level.
Knowledge hub
The knowledge hub is your organization's reusable material — the content you draw on across projects, the assistant, and your workspace, rather than re-uploading it each time.
It holds:
- Native AutogenAI libraries
- SharePoint-synced libraries
- Datasets
- Saved prompts
The knowledge hub is what's available; it isn't automatically applied everywhere. Each time you use AI, you choose what to draw on for that task — that selection is handled separately, by source providers.
