Writing a strong response is only half the job — reviewing it well is the other half. Gamma Review gives you a structured way to check your draft: it tells you whether you've covered a requirement, and it suggests how to strengthen the writing itself. This article covers what Gamma Review checks, how to run it, and how to read the feedback it returns.
What is Gamma Review?
Gamma Review is a review framework built into your document editor. It ties every stage of reviewing into one place, checking what you've covered and how well you've written it.
The four types of reviewing criteria
Gamma Review checks your draft against four different types of criteria:
Pre-Defined
A fixed set of writing quality checks — such as evidencing and robustness. These look at how well your response is written, rather than what it covers, and work the same way on every proposal.
Question and Requirements Pair
Checks your response against the question you're answering and the requirements attached to it. Use this to confirm you've actually answered what was asked before looking at anything else.
Win Plan
Reviews your response against your win themes. It shows where your key messages could come through more strongly, so your differentiators are visible to the evaluator — not just recorded in the storyboard.
Compliance
Checks your response against the evaluation criteria and requirements for the proposal. Each item comes back marked addressed or not addressed, giving you a clear picture of what's covered and what's still missing.
Note: Win Plan and Compliance are only available when reviewing content within a Project.
Running a review
- Open the Gamma Review panel alongside your document.
- Choose which review(s) to run:
- Select Question and Requirements Pair and manually add the bid question and related specification section(s) via + Add criteria, and/or
- Select from the Pre-Defined Criteria list (Approach and Methodology, Evidence, Robustness, Innovation, Spelling and Grammar — or Select all).
- Select Review Everything to run your chosen checks against the selected text.
Two rules to keep in mind:
- Gamma Review checks up to 2,000 words at a time.
- It reviews against up to 500 words of evaluation criteria at a time.
Reading the feedback
Results come back as cards, and there are two kinds. Knowing which is which will save you time.
Compliance cards
Compliance cards tell you whether you've covered a requirement. Each carries a reference (like R55 or EC4), restates what that requirement asks for, and ends with a colored status marker — green for addressed, red for not addressed. These are a status check — there's nothing to accept or dismiss, and they won't tell you how to improve your answer.
All other criteria
Cards for every other criterion (Evidencing, Robustness, and the rest) work the other way round. Each is headed with the criterion name, quotes the line from your draft that triggered the comment, and suggests how to strengthen it. Because each of these is an action, you can accept or dismiss it directly on the card.

Quick recap: Compliance cards are a status check — addressed or not addressed. Every other criteria card is an action you can accept or dismiss, with a suggestion for how to strengthen your writing.
