IT deployment guide for SAML and OpenID Connect (OIDC)
AutogenAI is a fully managed, hosted, secure proposal-writing tool. The system is typically hosted using Amazon Web Services in the geographic location of your organization's choosing. Customers may elect to use either multi-factor authentication (MFA) or single sign-on (SSO).
This article is intended to give your IT team insight into the setup process for single sign-on access. There are two primary SSO options: SAML (Azure) and OIDC (OpenID Connect).
SAML setup guide (Azure focused)
This process is typically carried out by your IT team.
Step 1: AutogenAI provides you with applicable settings
(to be provided by the AutogenAI team)
If you choose to use SAML as the protocol, the AutogenAI team will provide your technical team with the following information specific to your deployment:
- Entity ID – target environment ID, dependent on geography and provider options
- Reply URL – URL specific to the company's selected environment
Step 2: Set up an enterprise application
(delivered by your IT team)
It's likely your team already knows what to do with the information provided; however, here are the steps for clarity:
- Log into Azure and browse to "Enterprise Applications"
- Select "New application" along the top row
- Choose "Create your own application"
- Give the application a name, and leave the radio selector on the default option ("Integrate any other application you don't find in the gallery (Non-gallery)")
- On the application's overview page, select "Set up single sign on"
- Select the option for SAML
- Complete the Basic SAML Configuration using the data provided by the AutogenAI team in Step 1
Step 3: Provision of SAML certificate information
(provided by your IT team to AutogenAI)
From the Azure Enterprise App, provide the AutogenAI team with the App Federation Metadata URL. This is the only information AutogenAI requires for the setup of SAML.
Step 4: Configuration of AutogenAI to enable customer SSO (SAML) access
