Your Knowledge Hub is where your organization's knowledge lives in AutogenAI. This short article explains what it is, what's in it, and who can add to it. It assumes no technical background and is a good place to start.
Prerequisites
- None — this is a starting-point article.
What the Knowledge Hub is
The Knowledge Hub is your organization's collection of knowledge in AutogenAI. It's the material you draw on again and again — across your projects, the Research Assistant, and your private Workspaces.
What's in it
From the Knowledge Hub you can access:
- native AutogenAI libraries
- SharePoint-synced libraries
- Datasets
- Saved Prompts
Think of it as the single place that holds everything you want to reuse, so you're not re-uploading the same reference material every time you start something new.
Who can add to it
- To create a library, you need to be a Document Manager.
- To contribute to an existing library, you need to be a Document Manager, or have been given Contributor or Admin access by the library's owner.
Datasets and Saved Prompts each have their own article — this one only introduces them. Managing the Knowledge Hub and library best practice are covered separately.
What's available vs what you actually use
The Knowledge Hub is what's available to draw on. It isn't automatically fed into everything you do — each time you use AI, you choose which of it to use for that specific task. That selection is handled by Source Providers.
